Discover how HENGON completed a steel canopy expansion for a warehouse project in the Philippines, matching the original roof slope and delivering on time for seamless installation.
When projects are underway, new needs often come up. Being able to adapt fast without messing up the building timeline is what really shows a steel structure maker's engineering power and ability to produce. It's not just about getting the job done, but about doing it on time and doing it right. A good steel structure manufacturer can handle changes and still meet the deadline, and that's what sets them apart.
HENGON has just wrapped up a major project in the Philippines, where they installed multiple steel canopies on a warehouse. What made it unusual was that the warehouse had already been manufactured and shipped, yet the client still decided to add the canopies afterward.
Fortunately, HENGON’s engineering team is highly capable, so they were able to rework the entire design in a short timeframe. They ensured the added canopies matched the existing warehouse structure precisely, and they kept fabrication and delivery on schedule.
Overall, the workflow was remarkably seamless given the circumstances. The customer ended up with exactly what they requested, and HENGON successfully met the commitment—making it a clear win for both sides.
With extensive experience handling similar retrofit-style requirements, it’s understandable they executed it smoothly. Their streamlined production system also played a key role in keeping turnaround fast. In the end, the project is now complete and delivered strong results.

The customer had previously ordered a prefabricated steel warehouse from HENGON. After completing engineering design, fabrication, quality inspection, and packaging, the entire warehouse structure was successfully shipped to the Philippines according to the agreed schedule.
When the project got to the part where everything had to be put in place, the customer took a closer look at how the site was laid out and figured out that having more areas with roofs would make a big difference in how things ran from day to day, mainly because it would give extra protection from the sun and rain.
The customer asked for three more steel canopy parts to be put up around the warehouse that's already there.
Project Specifications:
The dimensions are 4 meters in length, 22.4 meters in width, and 6 meters in height, for 2 units.
The dimensions are 4 meters in length, 15 meters in width, and 6 meters in height.
The buildings didn't have a lot of complicated parts, but they still had to fit perfectly with the warehouse that was already on its way.
This meant the new canopies could not be designed independently—they had to perfectly match the original building in both appearance and structural connection.

Before

After
The main problem was making sure the new part fit in with the old roof of the steel warehouse, since it had already been built and delivered. Keeping everything consistent was key.
The customer specifically required that the new canopies have the same roof slope as the original warehouse, ensuring a uniform appearance and smooth water drainage after installation.
Any deviation in roof angle or connection details could create installation difficulties or require costly on-site modifications.
Our engineers took a close look at the original plans and production information to redesign the new canopy structures and avoid problems. They made sure to review everything carefully before making any changes. This way, they could catch any potential issues and fix them before moving forward with the new design.
They made sure every little thing was just right, from the angle of the roof to the size of the structure and where all the parts connected, so the new parts would match the old building perfectly.

Once we got the updated requirements from the customer, our engineering team jumped right in and started working on a new design.
After the plans were finalized, the production team swiftly moved forward with manufacturing, making sure it didn't interfere with other projects that were already in the works.
Thanks to HENGON's integrated design, manufacturing, and quality control system, the additional steel structures were completed within a short production cycle.
Each component underwent strict quality inspection before packing to ensure smooth installation upon arrival at the project site.

Meeting the delivery schedule was essential because the customer planned to install the additional canopies together with the main warehouse.
We made sure the customer got their stuff on time, so they didn't have to deal with delays in their construction project and the whole thing got done faster.
Fast response, flexible production planning, and reliable delivery are among the reasons many international customers continue choosing HENGON for both new construction and project expansion.
